INTRODUCTION
Did you know all like on earth is related? Why do we need to know what organisms make up life on our planet?What are their differences and similarities? Taxonomy is the science of classification. In this project we will examine the five kingdoms of life on the earth, the Moneran, Protista, Fungi, Plantae, and Animalia.

Task
Your mission is to research a certin topic in classification. During this web quest you will: Top

PROCESS
Visit the links in the Resources section of this Web Quest.
  1. Place your hand in a bowl and select a topic of Taxonomy.
  2. Investigate characteristics, habitat anf morphology of your organisms.
  3. Use biological keys and and field guides to identify, list, classify and describe organisms on the campus of Assabet Valley.
  4. Investigate what species might be thoughout or endangered on the campus of Assabet Valley.
  5. Examine why the science of Taxonomy is important.

Don't hurry when researching your topic. Be careful to determine the correct topic BEFORE you start your research. It might be best to use colored index cards. Select one color for each of the bulleted items in the TASK section of the Web Quest. You may also print out the data and read it later. Feel free to use the INSERT method when reading the material.
