What is Renaissance?
Renaissance is an organization founded by education professionals to inspire an excitement for academics. Renaissance aims to increase student performance and teacher enthusiasm through fun activities, rewards and recognition. Renaissance also encourages the involvement of parents and local businesses to create a sense of community fulfillment with the success of our students.

Renaissance Teacher of the Month:
In December, Renaissance recognized THREE teachers who have gone out of their way to make Bay Path a great place for our students. Mrs. Reil brought in world champion boxer Jose Rivera to speak to the freshman class about never giving up on your goals. With the help of the freshman class advisors, Ms. Moran and Mrs. Palmerino, the students saw a presentation they will never forget and donated $200 to a local food bank in Mr. Rivera’s name.
In November, Renaissance students nominated two teachers to be selected for Teacher of the Month. One was Mr. Ostiguy of Machine because he “works hard for Robotics, Night School and day school and he offers advice to whoever needs it.” The other teacher was Mrs. Brumby of the History department because she “has encouraged me so much since freshman year and her passion for what she teaches really makes her class fun. She always helps me reach my full potential.” Renaissance congratulates you and thanks you for all you do!

Take Your Picture With Santa
Happy holidays everybody! Attached, please find a flyer for our December Renaissance event, Take Your Picture With Santa! St. Nick (or Ryan or Adam, whoever it happens to be that day) will be in the café all week during lunches to take pictures. Staff are more than welcome to have their picture taken as well! They are a dollar each to cover the cost of developing and materials. Remember, you can do it!!!!

How can YOU help Renaissance?
If you or your business would like to sponsor a Renaissance event or offer services or awards to Renaissance students, please contact Mrs. Giles or Mrs. Clark. A $10 donation covers the recognition of a Teacher of the Month or Smart Bucks Student of the Month. A $15 contribution covers a quarterly ice cream party or monthly Princess appearance. In exchange, Renaissance will honor you or your business right here as a Renaissance Partner and provide information on your business and how to contact you for your services!
